Get ready for your U.S. citizenship interview, one short session a day.
Citizenship 2027 is a free, offline study app for the U.S. naturalization interview. Practise all 128 civics questions of the 2025 test (or the 100 of the 2008 test, picked from your filing date), take mock interviews that stop the way the officer does, hear every question read aloud, and practise reading, writing and N-400 vocabulary. It is independent: not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to USCIS or any government agency.
Your filing date decides between the 2025 and the 2008 test. Add your state for the officials answers, and your interview date if you have one.
2
Review a few cards a day
Listen to each question, answer, and check. The cards you miss come back sooner, and the readiness estimate shows how close you are.
3
Take a mock interview
Practise with the real stop rules until you pass comfortably, then go through reading, writing and the N-400 words.
What it does
Practice that sounds like the interview
Every question read aloud, mock interviews that stop like the officer does, and a daily review built around your interview date.
The right test for your filing date
All 128 civics questions of the 2025 test, for applications filed on or after October 20, 2025, and the 100 questions of the 2008 test for earlier filings. Tell the app your filing date and it picks the test for you.
Mock interviews that stop like the officer
The 2025 test asks up to 20 questions and stops at 12 right or 9 missed; the 2008 test stops at 6 right or 5 missed. The mock interview follows the same rules, so a pass in the app feels like a pass on the day.
Every question read aloud
Hear each question in U.S. English before you see the answer, with captions and a slower voice if you want it. Reading aloud uses your phone’s own voice; the app never uses the microphone.
Your state’s officials, dated
Answers that change, like your senators and representative, show the date they were last checked, and update after elections without a new version of the app.
65/20, reading, writing and N-400
A 65/20 plan with large print, a slower voice and Spanish cards; English reading and writing practice; and N-400 vocabulary for the interview itself.
A daily review around your date
Add your interview date and the daily review spreads the questions over the days you have left. An optional reminder nudges you at the time you choose.

FAQs
Straight answers
What people ask before they start studying with an independent app.
Is this an official government app?
No. Citizenship 2027 is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to USCIS or any government agency.
Which test will I take, the 2025 or the 2008?
It depends on when you filed your N-400. Filings on or after October 20, 2025 take the 2025 test (128 questions); earlier filings take the 2008 test (100 questions). Enter your filing date and the app picks for you. Confirm with USCIS if you are unsure.
Is it free?
Yes. Every question and mock interview is free, with no account and no subscription. Pro is an optional one-time purchase of $3.99 that removes ads.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Everything works offline. With a connection, the app fetches officials updates and sends anonymous usage and crash reports, as the privacy policy describes.
Does it listen to me answer?
No. The app never uses the microphone. It reads questions aloud with your phone’s voice, and you check your own answer.
Is there help for the 65/20 exemption?
Yes. If you are eligible, the 65/20 plan uses large print, a slower voice and Spanish cards for the shorter question list.
Can you help with my application?
No. We cannot give legal or immigration advice and the app has no connection to USCIS. For anything about your case, contact USCIS.
Help us keep every answer right
Tell us about an answer that looks outdated, a card that read badly, or a bug. Please do not send your A-number, receipt number or any immigration document; describing what happened is enough.
Free, in English with Spanish cards for 65/20. No account, works offline, and your progress stays on your phone. Independent, and not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency.
